K so i got my fiddy to quit bogging off idle BUT....

Now I can't get the F$^@& to stay at idle. I've messed with the idle screw and airscrew a bunch and can't figure this out. When I rev it up and then let off it will settle down to a really high idle, but then it will slowly drop down all the way till it dies. I've had low idle and it goes from a rev back to the low idle but then dies. Now matter where i set the idle it goes from a rev to that point but then slows all the way down till it dies. Anyone got a clue on this one?

clean the pilot jet out or richen the idle circuit, pretty easy for the pilot to clog on them and a hunting high idle is usually a sign of lean mixture

you should turn the idle down to when you gas it it drops off like it is supposed to
(1)turn the mixture screw all the way in, easily, do not try to tighten it just all the way in till it touches, now back it out one complete rotation
(2) this is where you start from now it should bog a little bit when you gas it over half throttle, and your idle may be a lil high, reset your idle again you should dial it 1/8 th a turn out if it bogs the first time
(3)kill it and start it up and rev it to half throttle again see where it idles dial in the idle and rev it up again if it bogs dial out the mixture screw another 1/8 th a turn
(4) repeat process till you lose the bog of bottom, this may take several times
hope that helps you out and happy riding
