Ever since I got my 50 I never had started it. I put alot of aftermarket parts on it and when I go to start it up it won't start. It is also leaking gas from the pet**** switch. When I turn the switch up to let the fuel go to the carb it starts to leak fuel from the bottom of the switch. I checked the spark plug, it has a full set of gas, and still the motor won't turn over. I want to get this thing started already someone please help me.

 

i think their is this crazy asian kid running around putting bad pet****s in peoples bike u should be more carefull on who u let work on your bike

 

make sure the key is on and the fuel. i was kicking starting m 50 for about 10 min until i remembered it had a key switch

 

What kind of aftermarket stuff have you done? Anything with the motor?

 

Thats funny rdccarpet! lol Cypher helped me alot but we didn't try to start the bike when he was there. We just started putting things together. I have not done any mods to the motor, just a big bar kit, tires, 12 bar and supension. I don't know if I said it right but the fuel is leaking from the fuel way switch the switch that lets gas in and stops it from going to the carb. it is connected with a rubber tube. I turned the key to on and had the choke on and everything and still won't turn over.

 

You've got fuel leaking out the bike when it's on both wheels? Mine leaks, but it's when it's almost at a 12 position. Have you messed with the carb? Check your fuel lines for cracks too. You need spark, fuel, and compression. It's bound to be one of those three. Narrow it down, and you'll find your problem. Is the bike new?

 

I haven't seen the fuel valve leak before but it could be possible. Check to make sure all the gas lines are tight and not leaking. Have you messed with the carb? If so, you might have put it back together wrong.

 

yea I messed with the carb when I installed my big bar kit I took off the old carb cap and put a new one in and reinstalled the metal ball and spring inside the carb with the needle. I pretty sure it is not the gas tube because it only leaks from the bottom of the fuel valve when I open it to let the gas trough. I cant stand this ****! Im so pissed! It was a brand new knockoff 50 but when I recieved it there was all over the bike and box it came in and had a crushed gas tank so im thinking it was defitenely upside down. I put in almost a full quart of brand new oil so its not missing oil. Thanks for your help gixx!

 

Ahhh ha! I know what your problem is, you got a knockoff. You can't ever go wrong with honda, but you sure can with anything else. I don't know what to tell ya.

 

It is brand new except for the fact the it was turned over upside down, the gas tank was crushed and it had oil all over the bike and box.

 

has it ever run? If it was upside down and the oil came through the carb you may need to just take it off spray it out with some cleaner get a new filtre or clean the one you have

 

wait I just read some more and I have to ask. Is it leaking stright out the botom of the fule shut off valve right?? The fule line is atached right? there should be a gas line from the shut off to the carb.

Posting some pics will help some peps here understand exactally what your talking about

 

first drain the float bowl and see what is in there anything?
what do you mean it wont turn over,is it locked up? or it just wont start
