Ghetto fiddy needs your help
i got a 88 kit 18mm carb i believe. TB cdi. It is all fuccked up. It sounds like it is bouncing off the rev limiter in every gear. BUT the rpms are super low. I had stockers blowing by me, and i cant even do **** it 1st because it hits the limiter so fast, and starts bogging and bouncing.
I think its the jetting. I think i have an 82? I think im gonna attempt to re-jet it, but i was just looking for some insight

try putting the stock cdi back on and see what happens, my TB cdi did that once too, but it went away after a few minutes. but if the stock one runs better your aftermarket one might be scewed, i'd be interested to know what you find out.

i told you to check that timing foo. it will take literally 3 minutes to check it. no sence in jetting if that is out of wack. if its on, run a 85 main.
nice avatar wacko.

Re: Ghetto fiddy needs your help
there is no telling what jet you will need becuase they all run differently. my kit runs perfect on a 95 jet. also GET!!! some heavy duty valve springs, 88 kits will float the valves before it revs out.

lol @ valve float
why would an 88 make the valves float?what does the size of the motor have to do with valve float not a single thing. rpm's, not engine size is what causes valve float. i got a 103 stock head and springs with a cam never floated a valve yet and i ring the **** out of it.
the benefit of hd springs is to close on time stk springs are fine you start turning 15k rpm(never happen) then you might need some till then dont bother
oh yeah i dont have hd clutch springs either, another waiste of money
yall waiste more money on crap you dont need, blows me away sometimes
spend your money wisely you can build a fast reliable bike cheap if you dont throw away your money on crap and bling
