tighten bars

tighten bars

im trying to get 1 handed kilroys and 1 handed seat standers ... so far ive spent more time on the pavement

just wonder how i tighten down my bars so they dont move all over once i take that hand off

Damn fine question. I don't think it comes down to tightening the bars. It is just a fine line of balance when you take that hand off.

take off the upper triple clamp, take flathead screwdriver and place tip in the slots of the big nut thing, tap it with a hammer till the front end is as tight as you would like, reassemble front end.


they make a wrench just for that nut, but i doubt the majority have one......

You don't even have to take off the top triple. Trust me.

I would think thats a pretty good way to cash your stem bearings and races

nah, as long as you dont hve it like where your straining to turn the bars.....



also, yes, i know you dont HAVE to take the triple off, but it makes it easier....
