100cc or 88cc ?

Is there a big difference in the Power ?
Should I get an 88cc kit with a 20mm carb
or
100cc kit with a 22mm carb ?

What's the best manufacture.. I'm not looking forward to doing the timing chain and Cams either.

Re: 100cc or 88cc ?

I have a XR 50 2001 bone stock but a ICON pipe on it.
I need more power to race my friends in the parking lot.
I was thinking about getting a 100cc kit for it. But I know **** about it.

well if you do 100cc you'll need a stroker crank, that requires splitting the cases, it sounds like thats more in depth than your comfortable with..go with the 88

Re: 100cc or 88cc ?

The 110's have a crap load more torque/ power than the 88's. But it is WAY too much power to stunt IMO.

Re: 100cc or 88cc ?

Manual, NAH, I have a front rear break lever that I need for Road racing, and I don't want a clutch.. SO, I guess the 88cc is the way to go, because I don't want to split the case either. So what's the best 88cc kit and what size carb should I go with ?

They have one with Head and one without...
I like HEAD !
