Need some advice on buying this fiddy off e-bay,first off i need to know if it"s a genuine honda engine,as someone has given him negative feedback saying it"s a chinise replica.If i ask for close up shots off the engine,what should i look for?
These bikes new in the uk are £1100,he"s asking £700,just makes me wonder.

hard to tell with just that pic. the side cover looks like one from a points motor which wont fit on a cdi motor. post some better pics

 

not too sure about that reconditioned "Honda" motor... doesn't look like the left hand crancase cover off an XR50 ...

 

i"ve asked him for some close up engine shots,so we"ll see.

 

The guys got back to me with,my cameras broke,the bike is new except for the engine which ticks over o.k.
I"m really after one that"s ready to rock for an adult,if you guys hear of anything & there willing to ship drop us a e-mail.vmgas@aol.com.

with the US dollar being so low you should look hard for one over here....

... Or ask that seller to verify its a Honda xr50 chassis, and that he has the original receipt, owners booklet and the card. If it is a genuine crf50 (apart from the motor), you could pick up a stock motor here for around $400US on e-bay (or through these forums) and probaly get it to your door for another $100US or so.

 

Why is the motor reconditioned if it's a brand new bike? Hmm, I'm w/ resistive ... look for something over here in the states. I had a tough time at first but w/ a bit of leg work actually found one in the local paper.
