takegawa 88cc s-stage combo kit install
I just bought the takegawa 88cc s stage kit and the instructions say you need to buy a torque wrench. So I went to Sears and bought a torque wrench but found that the increments were by 10! So I returned that one and then went to Kragen auto parts to find this happening again even after asking the woman if it was by 1 ft-lb increments! DO I NEED A TORQUE WRENCH TO ENSURE TOP PERFORMANCE?
Re: takegawa 88cc s-stage combo kit install
i didnt use a torque wrench for my install and have to problems but u have built a few engines before and kinda know how tight everything should be. But i would get advise from fab
Re: takegawa 88cc s-stage combo kit install
all good advise. i own them but dont use them on the fiddy, after about 14 years of using one you get the feel of what things should be tightened to.
Re: takegawa 88cc s-stage combo kit install
The manual says to torque the 4 head bolts to only 8 lbs. HAhahah **** will leak and make a horrible noise if you dont tighten them nuts to atleast 15 lbs! I never used a Torque wrench on a Fiddy. I have built 4 Bore kits myself. Never used it and not one problem ! I can see if this was a Crotch rocket but its a 2 valve 5HP honda motor! Its bullet proof
