so where did you.....

so where did you learn to fix up your bike.just noticed alot of you on here more so than those on racing forums know alot about your bike.i guess you have to when your fixing it up every month .bout to get a new bike and just been contiplating is taking it to the dealer worth it.i mean there gona be charging all this (65 hour) for pritty much an oil change and a filter (600 mile service).just basically would like to learn how to do routine maintnance on my own bike but dont want to f*ck up anything as it will be new.so where did you learn from or any ideas as how i can learn a good bit on maintaning a bike.i heard it tells you how to do it in the owners manual, but really do want to learn more about bikes and how they work.so i wont be takin it in to the dealer for every little mishap that may come.i know general things like what stuff is and where its located on the bike.but when it comes down to if i had to replace the clutch for somthing, ummmmm ?

if its the first service where they check valve clearances and that, you should let the dealer do it. sometimes you have to let them do that first service in order to keep your warranty. after that buy the manual and do it yourself
