Biker Boyz - NOT IMPRESSED!

I just returned from the Biker Boyz sneak-preivew here in town, and all I have to say is wow........

The stunts, were nice, nothing spectaular, average rolling stoppies, freeway wheelies, burnouts, etc etc.

I know this movie was not about stuntriding, and more about the racing scene, but 90% of the racing was pretty fake looking if you ask me. It is hard to put into words how exactly scenes were fake, you guys will just have to go and see it...

That's all I have now,

I had a feeling thats how it would be. never really thought much of it at first....but this new movie coming out called torque is more into the stunt scene so im very curious to see how that comes about.

CRAZY DAN is a decent person
Havent seen anything on it yet, but you gotta remember, I keep telling myself this all the time. Our stunts are getting better and better each day, but think back to the normal every day person who has no clue about this and what they are seeing....I bet they are thinkin the same thing you were 2 years ago when a christ and a skitch were insane! All the new aged tricks are sick sick sick to us and thats about it! They have no clue what we are doing. **** metzger blew up the backflip on tv to the public eye, go to a monster truck show now and the entire crowds chant, backflip, backflip, backflip. The riders doing these shows are sic, but since not doing backflips, the crowd is not impressed anymore! I think bikerboyz will be a good start for street xtreme!!! ....my thoughts

it all starts with some idea. Biker boys doesn't show what we can truely do, it shows more street racing which we are not about. I guess we will have to wait and see how torgue comes out.

I totally agree with ya Dan. For people not into, or that have seen stuntriding or streetbike racing at all, I am sure that they will think the stunts and/or racing is cool. I was just saying that for all of us, I think we will all think it is kind of cheesy...

after seeing it, i think the one thing that i did see that was good was the commradery/brotherhood that the groups showed for its members. that was nice to see. it reminds me of how it was when i started riding and everyone rode together.

Just seen biker boyz last night also in san francisco...wasnt expecting it to be much so it was about how i expected. Racing scenes are plain fake...

Stunting... some nice stoppies, tank wheelie and a few other things was actually a little bit better then what i expect on that part.

And as for the rest of the world besides sportbike riders and stunters....they go nuts over this stuff.

Some promoters from dreamworks and our affiliate www.lowsyde.com blocked off the road 15 mins before they let people into the premier and let our crew bust out some stunts for the crowd to get them riled up....they were overly impressed with one handed stand ups....stoppies and a christ and burning rubber...you forget that 90% of the people havent seen nothing yet like Dan said...

I will be in theaters on friday to watch the movie. I also agree wiith Crazy Dan. The average public will go crazy when they see a rider doing a stand up wheelie going by on the freeway...because the average public hasnt been exposed yet..thats why we are still considered "underground" and not "mainstreem."

But who knows, if the plot sucks, and the movie is "ok" then Oh well....but its going to be very very interesting to say the least. I will be going into this movie without the Stunt world in mind, and will view this movie as an average joe ...

If this movie pulls in 20 million in its first weekend, then its a HIT....I predict no more then 10 million for the weekend...lets found out if I'm wrong...

I actually hope I'm wrong...whatever it takes to get this stunt thing in main stream..well then who cares...as long as it exposes everyone that has been doing it for years...

i just got done seeing the the movie....... i am just wondering how in the hell that guy does the 150 mile an hour elevator at the end of the race and also how in the hell are you going to build up this race between two guys the whole movie and then it come down to a DIRT road to race on. what a freakin joke this movie is!!!! to the average person the stunts were probably tight i'll give them that, but any normal 4 year old knows that this movie portrays nothing like stunting or street racing is in real life. TO FAKE
