can it be done with out mods to the frame and engine mounts? have a parts bike just dying to swap motors for ***** and giggles if it is a bolt in

 

i wish someone would ans. this cause i want to do the same thing to my bike, this is what a guy at suzuki told me i dont know how true it is, but he said that if u change out ur motor on that bike u need to get new forks like i dont know if he means from a 750 or if u just need some real good ones or what, and he said something bout it would twist ur frame, if anyone has any good info on this i need it also

 

short answer. no.

 

Top motor mounts need to be cut and moved back 3mm I believe, and you need to make sure you have the CPU, velocity stacks are different I think.....the list goes on and on.I dont know what forks have to do with a motor swap....the power is sent to the rear wheel.....and in all honesty you dont really need the braced swingarm.
I was gonna do the swap but waaay too much **** involved to do it the right way.

 

looks like iwill just swap in a 1000 motor then since they make engine mounts for em thanks for the info
