Why does everybody hate harleys
You can wheelie them but nobody does i do not see why nobody likes harleys
post up here to tell me what you think

 

They sound like **** and are slow......

 

just because it is loud that dont mean its stupid some cars sound loud and people say they are cool

 

I personally like the v-rod, but too many people ride them..Plus it's not the bike that people dont like, its the attitute of the people that comes with the bike...

expensive, slow, dont turn or stop well,heavy, they break and most owners think they r the best bikes ever made.

when u buy a vrod from the delership they tell u it burns a quart of oil every 2 tanks of gas.

my honda will never break and has the performance of a $100,000 Lambogini and only cost me $5600.

 

I just hate the fact that it is the BEST that america can come up with!!! we suck. Japan and Italy rule. they at least use half a brain when designing thier bikes. and throw in a little sex appeal for some added zing. A harley is like a girl youve been ******** for 60 years, that puss just gets OLD AND TIRED!!! all that time to grow and improve, and a 2005 harley is still a big hunk of ****!!!!

What irritates me is that most of the people you see on Harleys at stop lights and in oncoming traffic that wont wave are friggin' nerd wannabes that think they are Hells angles.

EXACTLY!!! i heard someone somewhere say that "harley's are NOT American. being American has always been about goin the extra mile, putting in the extra work, and goin all out to make the best you can - and in that aspect hd is nowhere near American, they made a product they could sell and quit"

don't forget, y'all, hd stole the salt flats title from kawasaki back in '92 and (for awhile, not sure how long) had the bragging rights of the world's fastest motorcycle. so it's not that they CAN'T do better, they just won't cuz they know they don't have to.

i alway say "i like harleys, there a neat vehicle that's halfway in between a car and a MOTORCYCLE"

Micky Doo, what’s up? You’re a little young now but I rode my first Harley when I was 15 and I have NEVER forgot it since…. I’ve had 9 different models in the past 20 years and I’ve enjoyed all of them. Are they trouble free??? HELL NO! Are they fast? Well it all depends what you do to them but as a rule, NO! Yes, they are heavy and to the novice rider might seem a little awkward but I gotta tell ya that there is just something about that motor and the feeling of that vibrating hung of metal that can and does get into your blood and hooks you for life. I just bought a 2004 Road King My 10 th Harley and road it to Myrtle Beach 2 weeks ago. I have to be honest with ya, and don’t get my wrong I love my GSXR 1000 but I could have never have ridden it that far. I guess I have the BEST of both worlds. Work hard and train like an animal. Vez.

That says it all right there..............To all that defended HD, you won't think they're reliable when you crash and burn in hell, now will you.

 

Oh yeah, my Mom has a 2002 HD sportster 883cc, and its a pile of ****. My 1996 Kawasaki 600 cost less new, is WAY faster, brakes in 1/2 the distance, has twice the top speed, runs better after 30,000 ROUGH kms, doesn't leak OR burn oil.........I could go on. When she starts it, and its idling in the driveway, you can hear the cylinder NOT firing 1 out of every 10 times it should.........runs like a bag of hammers on the highway......BIG pile of ****. It has 13,000kms on it, and there is oil builiding up in the air cleaner and dripping out. YES it was a REALLY quick and easy fix, but my Kawi sure as hell hasn't had that problem, or any others for that matter.

 

How about resale?

 

Fu(k resale...you don't buy a bike just to sell it later...what's up with that. HD's are a fun ride no doubt, I want one again. But this time it would be like this:
-883 with a big bore kit...weisco 1200
-R1 front end
-showa rear
-EX525 chain kit
-EBC 2h pads
-S glass tank and body
-MRE clutch
-K&N
-duplicated frame from 6160 aluminum
-Pilot skins
-oil cooling kit
-V H pipes

and I would stunt the shiat out of it. Would I think about resale... Hell no!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :YEAH
