I have an 1988 Honda CBR1000F Hurricane. It comes stock with a 140/80 rear tire, which eats my *****.
Is it possible to switch to the rim off a gixxer or another crotchy? Or are the rims for different bikes really different/ unique to each bike? How about swing arms, could I pop a swing arm from a newer blackbird on it in order to use a larger rear rim?

Re: Wheels
I know absolutely nothing about swapping rims or swingarms or anything like that. I'm pretty sure you could get a tire a couple sizes larger and it would fit. My bike comes with a 130 rear
and I've heard of people putting on a 150 so you might be able to do a 160.

i would go to much larger on the tire size i had a 140 stock rear tire. i threw a 150 and i still have large chicken strips. i've touched the pegs down so i cant lean it too much more. I migh even a small contact area now. but you cant get any good tires in 140s so i didnt have much of a choice.
