I have to go to court Monday for a ticket I got a few months back.

I'll try to explain in short as I can of the details.

Picture an intersection.

There is only 1 way in, if you come from the opposite way you can't as busses have "railroad crossing things" that only allow busses. If you cannot go from the right side as it is a one way street going "away" from you. If you go left you have to go around this clock towerback up to where you came from and wait at the stop sign. Then you make a right from that direction, make another right and you can pull into the student union.

So if you pull up to the stop sign at the intersection it is too late and you cannot turn left into the union as you are too far up ahead by say 25-30ft.

So you have no choice but to go before the double stop sign and pull over the double yellow lines and pull into the union in the 20 min parking zone.

There is a cop one car behind me and I know he is there as I had to pull around him as another car did as he just finished giving a ticket.

But heres the catch. Before I got to the point of turning left I decided I am not far from the union and pulled over and am about 15ft from the union. As I am doing it a car pulls from going around the clock tower and is coming at me. So I drove inbetween the car coming at me and the parked cars waiting at the stop sign. Then pulled into the student union. I get pulled over once in the union and got a ticket for passing in a no passing zone.

So, I plan on saying only what the ticket is written for. "Mam (she's a woman) I was just pulling into the union and the campsu police said there is no other way in so what I did was perfectly legal." I plan on taking the pictures and having the Camous police sign on it saying that it is legal to do so as told by another campus police officer. But they didn't know of the car coming at me.

Should I say if the cop brings it up "Sorry I don't remember doing that in particular but I was pulling over the double yellow lines as that is what the ticket was written for and not going inbetween the cars"

I am from Cali so it is legal to go to a stop light and ride through the middle or ride inbetween the lanes on the freeway in traffic. No Biggie. But here in Oklahoma it is forbidden but is not in the rule book as I had gotten a ticket for this before and was going to fight it but forgot the date of the court and was late by 25min and it was too late at that point. So I took the damn ticket.

Or would you say which you know the cop may say that I was inbetween cars and it shows I am being totally honest with the situation "Mam (its a lady Judge) I pulled out and as I was doing it a car pulled out faster than I was turning and I waited for this car to go so I could continue. At which point after the car passed, I pulled into the union and was pulled over"

The wild thing is the Campus Police don't know why the City Police was on campus in the first place if there wasn't an emergency to follow an offender that was wanted or eluding, etc.

So what would you say? I spoke to one City cop and told him everything but the car pulling inbetween and he said that this ticket will probably be dropped as he knew exactly where I was talking about.

So what would you say to the judge in this situation. I am trying to avoid any points on my drivers record. What would you do?

Come on guys. YTou have to at least have an opinion, let alone have gotten a ticket before. I know ALOT of us here have gotten tickets and have some sort of opinion. This is in one day. I need as much help as I can get.

I have left it on another site and got more answers than meets the eye and that is not even a stunt site where a bunch of us get tickets doing what we do.

So, maybe you don't grasp the whole thing so I got a picture for you to check out. Maybe this will clear things up.

It seems like what you did was your only option. I really don't see the problem if people do it all day and it's considered legal. It's not your fault that the road was painted incorrectly.

 

Dude if you spent as much time learning how to ride that you put in those BS diagrams you might not be fighting a ticket

Due to the overwhelming response from those that came to give what they thought would happen or was right or wrong, I would like to thank all of you. Every single one of you helpful son of a bitches. I forget how many replies I got or how many actually read but you were such a big ****** help. I really owe you guys one. What would I do without you.?

I mean we are here to give our side to see if we can help or not. So quit being a bunch of ****** pussies and afraid to repond or whatever you are scared to do. Just say "hey, I check it out and I think you should say the driver did this" Damn, no one said to remove your ****** brain. I post alot, yes, but majority of those are giving my opinions to help the others here based of my own nowledge of the subject. I mean come on. I have alot of posts b/c I am trying to help everyone I can. Not sit there like a *** and wait for folks to rush to every thread I create like some of you.

ALOT of guys here are really really cool. But some of you make me wonder about how cool or helpful you are in real life. No wonder our society is so fukked up.....

Oh yeah, TempTagg, thanks alot bro. You were the only one that ACTUALLY tried to help instead of sit like a brain dead fool. I have spoken to alot of the major guys who have been on this site for yrs and they are leaving or not posting hardly anymore due to the fact that more and more "less intellectually inclined " folks or discussions are going on here. I actually see it as I have been here a while and others may see it too. Folks are geting VERY LAZY and frankly, more, well, "dumb".... They don't feel like reading, they don't feel like giving their opinion, they don't feel like doing **** for others but they'll gladly accept the info that others wasted their time to give to them.

And for roadrash929, even though you were and *******, you still posted and at least tried to look at the post. I don't like it but damn, I have to give it to you as you did 20% more than everyone else here. Temkptagg did the other 80% as he actually posted something legit... Beotch . But you still tried. Your cool, an asshoel, but cool.

The rest of these newbies or even oldies, hell, I don't know about these guys sometimes. I may have to cruise with the rest of the wave of stunters and leave to go to those other sites where adults don't have the mentality and IQ of kids. Even some of the kids here are more intellegent and more helpful than alot of the adults. Wheeliekid and Wheelieboy (these kids are not even 16 yet, some younger than that), wangsta (he's only 17yrs old), these were kids at the top of my head. If I actually search I am sure to find many more that do more and say more helpful info than the masses of adults that are just sheer, ridiculously stupid... You'd be suprised when you look at how many.

Things used to be REALLY nice around here, but so many people have become just, jerks, in the simplest of terms....

I hope that those people who can read, read this, and will actually "try" to or even attempt to help the other members here on a regular basis like the rest of us....

I've been out of communications for almost 2 weeks. I think you got a good point, but it all depends on how much the cops brown nose the judge etc.... Good luck
