HELP, Custom work needed!!!!!

this is my yzf 600r i frame and swing arm is all steel which means i cant polish it, i dont want to chrome since the bike is already 489lbs. wet. I can crome or polish the wheels, forks, tripple clamp, foot pegs and rear sets. i dont now how that would look if you chrome/polish everything but the frame and swing arm. So do you guys have any suggestion besides "buy a new bike" how i can creat a unique look to my bike? I was thiking about having everything i can polished, get the swing arm chromed(wont add that much weight) and having the frame painted like diamond plate sheet metal! what do you guys thing any suggestion would be great

It's nothing major, but a dark smoke windscreen would be a nice touch.

Thumbs up Re: HELP, Custom work needed!!!!!

Powercoating is always an option..there are tons of colors including a chrome look.. and anodizing may also work on the steel as well and there is also a huge amount of colors or tints

Re: HELP, Custom work needed!!!!!

why do people think chrome adds so much weight?

and if you have enough cash to even consider getting your frame and swingarm chrome plated then why are you riding that beast around instead of some thing nicer

taking off all the stock BS and and adding aftermarket stuff will probably shave 10-20 lbs if its that big of a concern (which it shouldnt be) Then getting the whole freaking bike chrome plated including frame wheels and even bodywork wouldnt add 5 lbs (which again really doesnt matter)

not trying to be a *****, I just wonder why certain individuals base thier aftermarket accessory purchases on 1 or 2 pounds or even 1 or 2 horsepower, which 90% of the people in the world could not notice either way....simply put, I base my purchases of pipes and **** on looks and sound, then brakes, dampeners and other **** on performance

Re: HELP, Custom work needed!!!!!

the shifter, shift linkage and brake pedal are steel on the 600R also. On mine I left the frame and swingarm alone. I chromed everything else, threw a Second Look seat cover on, flush mounts and a M4 exhaust. Looked really nice with the blue/white bodywork.
