Dumb ass
Dumb ***
I took my bike apart over winter to adjust the vavles. While i had it taken apart i put rags in the intakes. so nothing could fall in them. While it was finally nice enough to ride today so i threw my bike back together quickly, And as u probally figured out i left the rags in the intakes. Any good sugestions on how to get rags out of my valves?

Re: Dumb ***
take the intake stacks back off, and take the case cover off the clutch. use a big *** ratchet and turn the motor bcakwards, so the the pressure from the valve on the rags lets off, and remove the rag. now, all the valves don't move at the same time, so go really slow, watch all the valves, see what valve is comming up, also take note that some of them may be closing even with the motor being turned backwards.
you may also get the motor to turn backwards by putting the bike in gear and turning the rear wheel backwards.
it depends on how far the motor rotated before the calves got stuck, you are going to have 4 valves to work with, you mat have to rotate the motor forward to get the first rag out, then rotate backwards to get the second out and so forth.
DO NOT USE THE STARTER to rotate the motor, use one of the ways i mentioned.
a soft rag will just keep the valve from closing, and should not have hurt anything. but once you get all the rags out, listen for any weird noises. if for some reason it bent a valve, you want to find out as soon as possible, and replace the valve if nessiciary. if you ride with a bent or damaged valve it could do damage to the valve seal, or even the valve seat, then you got real damage to your head, and if the valve breaks you got a whole bunch of new problems
also when you get the rag out, you may have small pieces of the rag left in there, so rotate the motor so that one of the valves is all the way open, then blow out the cylinder with compressed air, the do the same for the rest of the valves.
hope this helps...
