Drinking and Riding

If I have my bike with me I don't even have one drink but sometimes after I have been out drinking it almost seems like a good idea to go home and get my bike. Just wanted to hear some funny, stupid, and horrible stories about drinking and riding.

Re: Drinking and Riding

I used to ride if I had only a couple beers but quit. Got stopped for speeding one night and blew .o1 over the legal limit and got a DUI.

Re: Drinking and Riding

Hey every one new to the site and this is my frist post. I have never even thought about riding after drinking. I have this friend that went out one night and had a few drinks. On the way home he got lit up by the cops and decieded to run. He led them on a 35min high speed chase through are city intell one cop finaly ran him over broke both legs and his right arm, and cracked two ribs he spent 4 wks in the hospital and is now being sued by the cop who hit him. He got his license pulled and spent time in jail. He now walks with a limp. Thats one of the main reasons I dont ride and drink.

Re: Drinking and Riding

How is it that the cops are sueing him? isnt it enough that they gave him jail time and ran him over?

Re: Drinking and Riding

1st time, I was riding along and honestly I don't know what the fu(k I was doin but I was taking a turn in town at about 50 or so on one of those city streets with the 90 degree curbs ya know. And I just didn't turn for some reason. I think partly because I had 8 beers in about 2 hrs right before that or I just wasn't paying attention But anyway I fugging glanced off this curb like a fuggin ball on a pool table. I had four other people riding with me who saw it and neither them or me have any idea how I didn't eat ****. Guess somebody had my back that night.

Re: Drinking and Riding

I went out with the guys once after work the first year I had my bike and had 2 beers. I drove like 3 blocks to a hot dog joint and I ate and waited there for like 4 hours to sober up.

A guy I met the first year I got my bike died and he was drinking that night.

I don't drink anymore, it sucks sometimes but, oh well...

Your not kidding.. I cant beleive I still even have the stock rims on my bike with all the damn potholes around here once the season starts.. For living near the motor city, we have the worst ****ing roads I have seen in this country..

As for the drinking.. I drink enough when I am not on my bike. I figure I can at least take a break when I have a 165 MPH piece of plastic strapped to my nuts..

Re: Drinking and Riding

Last summer I got into a fight with the wife at a gas station and took my friends 01' zx-9r for a ride. Well I had like 10 bud lights and i left with it on the main street on a sat. night around 11:30 with it wide open. I couldn't even tell u how fast i was going cause that was the first time i went over a hundred on a bike and that was the dumbest thing i ever could've done.

Never again will I drink and ride again. not for me. u gotta be nuts.
