Titanium Igniter Plates are up on eBay!!

Folks:

An update:

The plates are starting to pick up and sell pretty well. I have a few stores who really want to carry the product and soon I might have to raise the price to all new customers to reflect what's being charged in the store (upwards of $85)

Also, I've changed the design a little bit. Rather than selling 4 1/8" thick titanium plates I'm selling the kit with 2 1/4" titanium plates (which is 2 1/8" plates MIG welded together.) This will provide more sparkage, longer life, less heat transferred to the bottom of the shoe, and less wear and tear on screws and inserts. Because I have to pay to get the plates welded together the price is for now $70 plus shipping. As I said, as soon as the riding season gets well under way and more and more stores are selling them for over $85 I'm not gonna be able to charge only $70. So, get em while you can before the price goes up!!

If you're interested or want more information send an e-mail to NemesisMFG@hotmail.com. I can send you an invoice through PayPal or I'll accept checks and money orders.

So, there you go. I also have a video of them in action if the still shot doesn't move you.

Help put me through college!!!

60 Bucks seem awful expensive to me. I think they should be available to stuntlife members for at least 20 bucks if not cheaper.

I think its a good idea i love to see sparks from peoples feet when skitching although i have only seen it on movies. Im going to try some titanium screws in my shoe for the summer they only cost me $5. But how much does all the material cost you it cant be to much.

4, 1/8" thick titanium plates aren't exactly cheap to get water jetted out. Believe me, no one is getting ripped of for $60.

Water-jet. A .010 thick stream of water is super presurized and inserted with ruby dust to cut through metal. It's gotta be kinda thin though, which is the downfall. But it's very fast. My dad owns a machine shop and he uses Wire EDM machines, which will cut through anything at any thickness but it's much slower. So I just have them jetted out.

Re: Titanium Igniter Plates are up on eBay!!

I'm working on getting 2 pieces of 1/8" titanium MIG welded together for the same price as 4, 1/8" pieces. That 1/4" would last a reeeeeeeeal long time if you guys are more intersted in maximum life.

Nick,

I HOPE that I'll have a bunch more in a week or two. I sold a set to a guy on a stunt team and I sold a set to an online reatiler who both might get back to me in a few days with a bunch of orders. If that's the case then I'll be ordering a bunch of parts made within a week. Either way, I should have more in a couple weeks. I THINK I may have one set left, which has 2 1/8" plates welded together for a 1/4" total on each shoe. If you want I can sell you those once they get welded. I'll also give you a good discount since you'll kinda be my guinea pig (I know they'll be last a real long time with minimial heat, but still, I havn't tested them myself).

If you check out the eBay thread you see that there are some aluminum inserts with blades on them. You drill a small hole into your boot, twist in the inserts and then screw the plates into those so you can take the plates on and off whenever you want and they're really strong. With the plates off and walking around you won't even know the inserts are in your shoe.

Send me an e-mail at NemesisMFG@hotmail.com and I can send you the instructions and a .mov of them in action and that should clear up all your questions.

Shawn how the hell did you already burn through a set in Wisconsin!? Isn't it 10 degrees there? I'm putting in an order for the 1/4" sets this week, so they'll be ready next week. Send me an e-mail.
