This sport has a bad enough rep without being high or drunk.

Props to the guys that stay clean.

I was young once, and stupidity is basically a side effect of being young. Just keep in the back of your head that some day the older wiser version of you will look back and wish you hadn't done it. That having been said, yeah, I know guys that ride with us and ride stoned or drunk and not really care about it. They will be the first to tell you it doesn't hurt anything. They also average 4 or 5 crashes a year (no, I'm not bs'ing you either).

I have nothing personally against the guys still acting 16, we all have to walk our own paths when it comes to knowing our limits. I won't let something so petty stand in the way of who I'm friends with. It just gets really tempting to kick em in the *** sometimes.

I choose not to ride under the influence of anything. Your mind has to be prepared for anything that could happen like people pulling out in front of you. I just think it's not a wise decision but people are going to do what they want to do and not think of the consequences.

I think ericgsxr summed it up pretty well.

We all have the right to make our own decisions, some good and some bad. We accept as motorcyclists the inherent dangers that come from riding and stunting. I accept that I may die tomorrow and have probably increased my chances of being exposed to a dangerous situation by being on a bike. By riding sober I can manage that risk just a little bit better. Hell if I were drunk, who knows what I would do and honestly probably not really care anyway.
I'd rather live to ride another day, it just isn't that much of a thrill to me.

Do some research on it or just wait until you get in driver's ed or your health class for the statistics you'd be surprised. (That's not being a smart (## either, I actually learned a little bit from them in highschool).
PS- highway wheelies are garbage, lol
We all live and learn, let's just be responsible and all that we do.
I think I'm through preaching my opinions, lol, i told yall this was a touchy subject with me.
I agree with what your saying, everyone is intitled to there opinion. But just remember you/we should not judge anyone. i'm sure there are things you do in life that someone somewhere might dissagree with. Thats's with everyone, it's just a fact of the matter.
Now just because someone has taken some sort of drug doesn't neccesarily mean there intoxicated or putting someones life in danger. Now if you want to start individualizing each one and then talk about the level consumed or what there tolerance level is, thats another story, but were not. If someone has a cold and they take some medicine and then ride, is that person considered intoxicated? Or the person who has a perscription for xanax and drives fine do you have any respect for them. You should they haven't done anything illegal and they both consumed drugs. I in no way condoning driving intoxicated that's illegal. But if you haven't done anything wrong then there is not a problem. Now someones tolerance is a whole other topic, because someone who does not take any mind altering substances and does will be affected more than someone who does on a a regular basis obivously.. just my .02 cents

That's a really old argument, that people build a tolerance to it. What they do is getting really good at pretending to not be drunk or high, but when crunch time hits and they need to grab some breaks in an instant they are no better off then the first time user. I agree if some one is on prescription meds it's a different case. However when the question is "who rides ****ed up" I really don't think they are talking about tylenol

I also agree that everybody has to make their own decisions on it. I said that years ago when I was in high school and they had those few classes on drinking and driving. I always said "let em!" give them their own patch of highway, where you HAVE to be drunk to drive there, just one lane going both ways, and if there is a crash send some paramedics that have been off duty and had a few, if you are pro drinking none of should bother you. On the other hand if you want everybody sober BUT you, you are a hypocrite, can I get a hell yeah!

Well i'll tell you what.......that 1% still happens..A really close friend of mine, well his mom was driving in her car and some a$$ drunk on his bike hit her and she died on impact. HE had a few scratches. It happens and driving messed up is well messed up. Having the mentality of well im just gana hurt myself is just not right. You got to think of everyone else in the world. If you mess up someone else, it is not just them it is everyone arround them.....MY cousin is in a wheel chair the rest of his life cause some stupid *** drunk hit him, my best friend from school, his older brother was hit by a stupid drunk while he was walkin down the street, killed him..........NEXT time you wana put up a post and brag about being messed up and ridding do it somewere else! YOU SHOULD ALSO WAKE THE F&@K UP!!!!!!! do you wana live the rest of your life knowing you killed someone, or being in a wheel chair. THINK ABOUT IT!!

sober 100% of the time. the way i see it is we have enough working against us, people not looking for us, or just not caring, whatever the case may be. having your reaction time slowed down doesnt help your chances. you here of riders going down all the time, cuz of some dumb@ss in a car, you gotta watch everyone else

riding drunk is really stupid, the other morning after a party i was riding home really hungover and as i was crossing an overpass i locked up my front tire on a patch of loose grave and lost it , wasnt too fun, but i used to ride my dual purpose all the time when i was baked as a cake, had no prob there

Re: riding f%cked up? admit to it?

high is one thing.... drunk is another... both ****ing stupid, but id say driving drunk you're putting other people ever more at risk not to mention other riders you may be with that are just trying to have a good time.. next thing u know you could be in a hospital bed . But i see the comparison between drunk driving and goin nutz on yer bike... what the hell am i saying, do whatever you want
