i just realized the face sheild on my helmet was so nasty i could barely see through it....i grabd a rag n windex started to clean it and ended up cleaning the whole thing. the rag was filthy by the time i was done and the thing looked like new. kinda smells tho.do people clean their helmets
I helmet is clean. I try not to touch the snell as finger prints bug the **** out of me. My shield is still scratched up from my crash though, never got around to changing it, there're also a few scratches from when it fell off my bike.

mines ok but i gotta clean it bad, the other day i was riding to work and i couldint see outta my visor so i flipped it up and the next thing you know this big *** juicy as hell bug flys right into my eye i was like ohh **** and almost lost it cuz i had to clean the bug outta my eye, and my eye was red and swollen the hole damn day so yeh i just might need to pull the windex out and clean it now.
OK.. Honestly this works GREAT.. Fill the bathtub(about a little less than half way full) with water and laundry detergent... stick the whole helmet in there and wash the inside.. sqeeze the inside with your hand to get out the excess water.. Then sit it on top of a bucket over night to dry.. And for you EXTRA nasty smelly people, let your helmet soak in the water over night...
Trust me.. It works...!!! I also keep a few coats of wax on my helmet

My problem is, I have a tinted shield and I have to leave it up when I ride at night. Nasty little Florida bugs seem to make their way inside my helmet. One time I was riding and a huge *** bug hit me in the eye causeing my eye to look pretty bad for a couple of days. I don't really have a problem with my helmet being smelly, at least it doesn't smell to me. I hate bugs though, they hurt like a *****' if they hit you right!!
