Damn! Has anybody gone back and looked at that thread again? It is so long and hateful that it is NEVER going to die.

I'm thinking the real issue of who is the best builder has been completely lost on the discovery message board, and it has come down to nothing but bashing back and forth between a bunch of peeps that probably don't even ride.

Both sides have a legitimate arguement, and I have to admit it's hard not to get caught up in it.

Even though JJ is known to be the less professional acting of the 2 groups, I have to admit, a friend of mine called him one day. This friend of mine is 19 years old, and had an idea for a show.

He calls and says "Can I speak to Jesse" and the other end says "Who's calling please?" So he answers "This is Robert" and just like that they connect him, and he is talking to Jesse James.

You have to admit, THAT is pretty cool. I've also seen episodes where the Pauls have gone and shovel'd snow instead of building anything. They take it out of the shop every now and then, to make it more interesting. There is room for both shows on TV.

In fact, having sat through some really crap re-runs of old sit-coms lately, I think there is room on there for me also.

I could tour the coast, crashing on other peoples couches, and ride their bikes, and eat their food, and perhaps even spend a little quality time with their girlfriends.

We could call it "Big E -- The Rocketboy"

honestly, if Wal-Mart came to ANY of the stunt groups or business-owners here and wanted to buy apparrel and accessories from them, who would be retarted enough to say no? The biggest retailer in the country reselling your stuff isnt seling out, its CASHING IN!!!
sad but true, couldnt agree with you more i just meant that now a bunch of people who dont even know who jessie james is are going to be wearing west coast chopper shirts just cause they like the logo or it was a blue light special or something...

Are you SERIOUS ?!?!?!?!

Just curious how much were they @ walmart ??

Here in Toronto there are only a small handfull of bike shops that sell authentic WCC stuff. T-shirts are $40 and long sleve T's are $60 - $70. Toques are $40-50, hoodies are $100 and up, and jackets are ridiculous (ALL PRICES IN CDN DOLLARS)

Oh hell -no doubt! I think they make truly incredible bikez! My only point is if I'm spending that much on a bike ...it's gonna be kustom made for me (hopefully by me). Mad propz to both groups though! I watch Monster Garage AND American Choppe RELIGIOUSLY!

As far as Jesse selling out by putting his stuff at Walmart - I think that is a great move. It will lower the price on his merchandise (not everyone could spend $40 on a t-shirt) and he's just following OCC's lead. OCC merchandise can be found at Sears and Kohls.

People talk about Jesse being a sell out all the time, I look at it as he is a shameless self promoter and one hell of a business man. I give him mad propz for it.

Billy Lane needs his own show. I'll put a Choppers Inc. bike against anything Jesse or Paul can throw at it.

I dunno man, the Berkowitz(sp?) bike, the red one, was so clean I liked it alot. I like Jesse because he is a character, and he's West side, plus his bikes are just ****. I got love for almost all the chopper guys, I'm just not too into the whole chopper scene. Seems like alot of people are into it, and don't even own a chopper, which is cool with me because I lived sportbikes before I could even ride...

i consider jj bikes customs. everything is build by wcc. except motor and trans.

occ bikes are jokes. they are kit bikes you and i could go out buy the frame, gas tank, fenders etc. then hang a bunch of goofy *** **** off of them and have an occ bike. the theme bikes they make are some of the stupidest shiaat ever. and the show is definantly scripted.

JJ and WCC all the way.

They all have there own style and talents. At least they are doing what they love in life. I wish wal-mart would pay me and I wish I had my own stunt line clothes. I wish I could tool around my own shop all day. Mad props to all the bike builders out there.

I sure wish you'd change your profile from "no clubs here" to "Rocketboyz, and they are the bomb!"

I've got a buddy here at the house and he is trying to figure out the best investment right now to make some cash. What do you think? Custom sport bike shop?

I emailed both of them (a month or so ago) i kept seeing them make choppers over and over and was like "you guys should make like a custom super bike". Like make the fairings and all that theycould make a sweet *** gas tank im sure. But OCC emailed me back and said "that would be cool but you really cant do too much with a crotch rocket as you can with a chopper." In my opinion i think you could do alot with one, look at all the fairing area and stuff you could mutate and make it into a crazy *** looking bike. JJ emailed me back also and said "im on it man". So in my opinion he is a person who isnt scared to get off track with the whole chopper thing and likes to get into other things (moster garage). So i would have to say i like JJ more cause he dont give a **** about what people think. OCC all they do is fight and **** and if they didnt fight you think they would have a show still? Nope! People would get tired of seeing the same frame over and over getting a new gas tank and paint. They do alot with the bikes but any of us could do it too with the right tools and patience.......

JJ has had sportbikes on his show before. I e-mail him a long time ago about his r1 but he already sold it.

Yeah, you are swaying me.

I agree that they do order frnders and tanks, but I've also seen them cut them down the middle and modify them to meet their needs. Every time a prgrammer builds another web site he doesn't start with no code, he copies and paste 99% of it.

None I'm sure. I'm just saying that starting with prefab isn't all that big a sin.
