Question about front wheel shake

I am test driving a 98 GSXR 600 for a couple of days, and noticed REALLY BAD front wheel shake at about 40 when I let go of the clip ons. Is it possible that it's the front tire, or because there is no steering damper. I fear this because I don't want to jump up into a christ stand and wheel shake. My Superhawk had NO steering shake, at any speed with no damper, what gives.

Also, any help with the CCT. I read it's a common problem with GSXR's. How to check, and what to do if it's bad. Thanks in advance for all help.

could be fork alignment or tweaked clamps, loose head bearings, wheel, tire.

I checked the tire pressure last night...40 psi. I dropped it down to 20 psi and this morning on the way to work, it was ALOT better, but still not great. The front tire doesn't look that good. That could have alot to do with it. Thanks for the info. Any one else?

Front tyre is most likely cuped, I have one time even gotten a tyre from Dunlop that was defective that caused that, I went threw everything from fork alighnment to new head bearings. Everyone at work kept telling me tht new tyres wont do that, tested at factory or some anyway point of the story is 9 times out of ten its the tyre. guessed it I replaced the tyre and it was fixed. God I love being right,I rubbed that **** in goood.
