I was wondering if any of you guys new about recalls on a 2002 f4i? Cam-chain tensioner maybe?

Just making sure that it is my cam-chain tensioner. When I rev to like 6-7 and it has a nasty rattling noise. Is that the it?

Could also be a small end , drain the oil and look for any metal, if you find any brass chunks DO NOT RIDE IT. Also look for fine alluminum shavings.

Nah that's definitely the cct. I didn't know they recalled any of the bikes though, cuz everytime someone I know brings in an F4i to get that fixed they say they gotta eat it. And the 02 and 03 bikes do it as well. I feel so ghetto rolling around campus pass the hunnies and my bike sounds like it's got loose bearings somewhere.

i know on my 929 the exhaust valve rattles like crazy aorund 5k rpms.

Its your CCT.... buy a manual one and be done with it. That 5-6 tick will be gone...

Mine was replaced under warranty,Honda knows there cct's are piles of crap and has known for a few years. They just cant get it right.Getting mine replaced again while its winter.

Binder.. i wasn't talkin to you... I cut my dad's out on his bike too and made the raspy sound go away... the f4i's have the cct problem. I havne't seen any probs on the 9's so far...
