98 900rr Front Wheel

I justed pickup this 900rr and someone told me you could put the front wheel of an f3 on it so it would have a 17 up front. Last night I pulled the wheel off of my f3 and my RR and the rotors are smaller on my f3 an the hole patter where the rotors bolt on are not the same so I can't switch rotors. Is there any way to put a 17in wheel up front. Its just gonna be a stunt bike I just thought it would be easer to find new shoes for the front. I'm also thinking of going 20 up.

The F3 doesn't fit 98/99 RRs. It will fit 96/97 I believe.

well here are my 2cents

I have 97 and i got an F3 front wheel and it fit perfect..... On 98 the brakes are a little diffrent and wont fit,, you will need to fit diffrent rotors... if anything try to keep the rotors of the f3 and do some type of up grade... besides the 17" only helps for twisties and not much for stunts.... you just get a better selection of tires...

Hope that helps..

Thanks for the info I knew it the f3 would fit on certain years of the 900rr. I was just hoping everytime I needed a new tire I wouldn't have to order it.
