Yea Minnesota has this gay law that if you get more than 3 tickets in a year your dl is suspended for 30 days. I went to court today and kinda got worked but I had some good points but still lost. Now I wait for the letter in the mail tellin me when the suspention starts. Do any of you know if this will affect your car insurence? I'm under my parents and I'm listed as one of the secondary drivers.

DO NOT, drive under this suspension. take it from me. I got a 30 day suspension, got another ticket and lost it for a year. A few months before that was up I got another ticket for driving, they said I lost it for another year. A few weeks later I got a letter in the mail that said I lost my license indefinetly in that state. Dont screw yourself bro.

 

WTF...you lost your liscence indefinately???? Get a lawyer..I had 7 pouints at one time and still had my liscence..I don't have one now though.

Also, NEVER drive under suspension, you'll get the book thrown up your ****... A friend of mine got hammered for running... he ran out of gas... The punishment STILL wasn't as bad as driving under suspension

in illinois 3 tickets gets you 6 mo to a year consider yourself lucky!

 

i lost mine for a year for not going to my D.O.T meeting over a 5 over speeding ticket

You can try for a work permit. If it's only 30 days, don't sweat it and just take the bus. The other thing you do is insure your car under your friends name. As long as the car is insured it's legal to drive, just don't go smashing into someone when you're road raging on 694!!!

i've got 9 points, and my insurance company doesnt know about 6 of them. as long as you keep the same insurance, and dont make any significant changes in your policy, usually they wont find out. the only time they look at your record is when you start a new policy or add a vehicle or something like that. just keep your **** insured and you should be fine

10 tickets in less than a year.Last two were a driving while suspended, and a careless.Cop said I couldnt reach my brakes while standing on the seat.

they dont check when you renew (at least mine didnt), they renewed it automatically... you need to make a major change for them to look at your record.

 

here in hawaii, your insurance rates multiply by 5. a friend of mine was payin $800. after getting speeding and exhibition tickets, he is supposed to pay just over $4000, for just insurance. he didnt pay anything. he just rides and evades the police.

 

i went to fight my last 65 in a 25 ticket, i failed miserably, but i've gotta go on tuesday to find out when it gets suspended, but it's pretty much a joke considering it's snowed a few days recently, by the time it gets suspended, i won't care if i can ride or not,

the only thing i'm worried about is the insurance jump, i'm hoping it doesn't go up much, but if it does, i'll just go on liablity and try to slow down, if i can stay alright until the end of summer, i'll be leaving for school and won't really be riding for 2 years, by the time i get out of school, my record will be good as new, at which time i'll be purchasing a tlr, and have a speed four stuntbike, and life will be good,


my girlfriend was gonna give me her $300 ford taurus for winter since i think she's getting a new car, but i don't wanna mess with my insurance any, i'll drive it if she keeps it under her name, but my parents are a huge pain about that stuff, considering if i hit anyone in it, and i'm not covered on the policy, i've gotta pay for it out of my pocket,

anyway, i'm in PA, and for a 31mph over ticket, it's just supposed to be a 15 day suspension, pretty much a joke, so i don't know, i haven't slowed down any, i've just looked over my shoulder a lot more, and don't hesitate to run, cause i don't want anymore tickets
