Comparing GSXRs...

Does anyone know what the differences are going to be between the 2003 gixxer and 2004 gixxer 600? I was thinking of trading in the 03 for the 04.

they're gonna style it after the 03 1000. hold of a couple of yrs. no major mechanical gain, but they will redo 1000's to blow by the 04 r1, zx10 and then the 6 should follow.
03 600 better looking than 04

I like my 03... I like it way bettah then the look of the 04. Looks too "cookie cutter". The 01-03 gixxer 6 is the Mustang 5.0 of the bike world. Once it was the leader of the pack, now the media has set it aside since it doesn't have all the trendy crap on it(some stuff is kinda trendy). Why did they black the frame out? The brushed look of the 03 was so sick. The front end looks like a digitized version of a busa. The seat looks cheap-o compared to the 03's. I dunno, it's got alot of cool stuff on it, the binders are definately a step up. But the look is so cheezy. I am not a huge fan of inverted forks on 600's. Aaron Yates won with standard forks, so why do I need better forks? I'm just gonna blow em anyway. But yeah, my main complaint on the 03's are the brakes, they suck ***. I thought they were great coming off an FZR, but then after riding a 954, they are crap.

First off.. its got mo' power. 2nd, look at the subframe.. Look at the way it mounts to the frame. Thats gravy right there, no more busting subframe tabs off the damn frame. Plus the subframes more straight like the hondas so if you tweak it its alot easier to bend back into shape than the wack *** subframes on the 01-03 600s. 3rd.. Inverted forks.. That is always a good thing. The dustcaps are upside down that means dirt doesnt sit on em and work its way past the dustcaps into the seals which means your fork seals should last quite a bit longer than the regular forks. This is gonna be a bad *** stuntbike. The frame is way beefier too. I cant wait to get my hands on a wrecked one. Plus you got radial mount brakes.. oh yeah.

The blue and white looks better... I like the yellow/black scheme but the 04 600 scheme looks kinda chitty.. The 750 y/b scheme is off the hook though.. its alot like the 01 y/b 600 scheme which was the best one ever... IMO..

The yellow scheme for the 600 looks like they've just left something out, the blue just doesn't match right for me...that dark teal or whatever on the top doesn't fit what I have in mind for the Gixxers........the 750 is a helluva lot better

i was told by the owner of my local suzook dealship that the 04 600s will have 116 rwhp. the most powerful "600" on the market right now is teh kawisaki zx-6r it has 107 rwhp hondas 600rr 105 r6 has something similar.

its tough lots of good 600s on the market. i'd only go with YAM or Zooks. everything else are mere bicycles.

oh yeah also if you look at the specs on the website the zook 600 will be the lightest 600 on the market.
