You're killing me. Yes, but not because of gyroscopic effect. It's bacause you're providing more torque to the rear wheel and it's trying to twist the bike over farther. That has noting to do with the idea that stopping the rear wheel in a stoppie will make the rear end rise, which is where this whole mess started.

smb123 has it right. Go watch a MX video. They fly out over the jump, then when they want to start dropping the nose you'll see them kick the rear brake to lock the rear wheel.

This is the question I was going to ask........is he coming to a complete stop ON THE BRAKES, and WITHOUT the clutch pulled in.
