anyone know of the the lock nut or spacer thingy on the right side motor mount. i think the color is brown or copper. do u need that thing, cause i was thinking about taking it off and taping in the mounts for bigger bolts.

 

Yeah you need it.
The nut your talking about tightens down the inner part of that mount. It is a large allen bolt I think 8mm, that is how you tighten the engine mount on that side of the motor. After tighening the allen adjusted mount you lock down the outter ring and then run your engine bolt in.

not only that, but you can't put a larger bolt in because the slot on the motor is sized for that bolt and nut combo. You strip or crack the mount, you have to replace the cylinder assembly.
