Just a couple of questions.
1) Do you ride with your clear shield at night? If so, do you bring it with you and switch when it gets to be a pain in the *** to see ahead of you at night?
2) Do you say F*** it and ride at night with tinted shield?
Thanks for the info.
Ben

I believe (I could be wrong) that you can get a ticket for riding with a tinted visor at nite.
When I ride during the day I'll change the visor (tinted) but if I know that I'll be out after dark I'll keep the clear one.

Im sure you can. I think in certain states will give you a ticket for riding with sun glasses at night. LOL, that happened to those ***** on Orange County Choppers at Bike Week...
SO Im sure it will carry over to shields too.

If it's too dark you can get a ticket at night. One way around this is to ride with it up but again, in some states, you'll still need some sort of eye protection. You can carry some clear specs under your seat for this, they're smaller to carry than the sheild and won't get scratched as easy. I also saw on e-bay once someone was selling clips that attach to the windshield that you would clip in your extra helmet shield to so it was carried under your windscreen but was still out of the way of road debris.
I ride with mine all day & all night, got used to it & it's normal now, except where I live out in the farms I gotta use my brights, people get all pissed & ****----f*ck'em, they can deal with 10 sec's of bright light so I don't kill myself...
i used to ride around with a tinted visor at night, it wasn't that bad but i dropped my helmet one day and scratched the sht outta it, so i've been rockin the clear one for awhile now, it's not bad either even with no glasses
I ride with my mirrored all the time. Depending what type of riding I'm doing, such as back country twisties, city riding or highway miles, I will either switch to the clear(back country), deal with the reduced, or I always carry a pair of clear or yellow glasses with me.
I used to change mine at night but I hate the sound my Sunomy makes when I go to change it ( sounds like the thing is going to bust in half) so now I say screw it and bring some yellow glasses with me, if I decide to lift my shield
There is this one thing now i saw on two wheel tuesday. say u jus have a clear shield, they have clip on that goes over the clear shield, and they have it in tinted or mirrored, and it only takes a few seconds to do it is really easy
My dog ate my tinted visor for my arai, they are so f***ing expensive I just wear cheep sunglasses now, if it gets dark and I floating down the eway, I can through them away. to much trouble to bring your clear visor, f4is have no trunk space
