So, who knows how to prep plastics for paint

Well I wrecked about a month ago pretty bad and my buddy hooked me up with his friend who owns a custom sport bike shop. 1 insurance check and 1 month latter and I got my bike back looking better than new with a jardine slip-on, rearsets and a damper. So i go out tonight (the night I got it back) and **** up the street with my upper fairing. I was rolling a pretty long endo starting at 45 and fuked up in the end ad went over at like 2-5 mph. Busted the tail and put some scratches on the upper. Now after that long a$$ story I will get to my ? How do I prep the upper to paint it. I may be able to sand the scratches and chips out but if I cant will auto body style putty stick, will it crack after time. I know I need to use special paint thats not a prob. I just need to know about prep. thanks for any help.

Steve-o.

I already fixed the cracks with epoxy but it needs a little fill. I know I have to use paint with a flex agent in it but can I use standard auto putty and primer?

use epoxy plastic weld. it's a 2 part deal you mix and put it on. then sand down the front parts.

get some primer. sand you plastics good, primer it, and sand it with lighter grit sand paper, then repeat until it's smooth and then paint.
