Pocketbikes
I would like to know if anyone here ever ridden a pocketbike? I looked up on the website and there are several kinds. I thought about getting a water cooled bikes cuz I might be riding longer when I first get it hehehe. I know several people do get hurt on those bikes and are required to wear full leather body suit to ride the bike.
I saw it on Ripley's Believe it on Not last nite and this guy on a pocketbike ( the bike looks just like his big R6) He hit the top speed of 56 mph. Most people fall off going 35 mph. I would love to play around on that bike though I know it's not a toy and it's made for racing only. But it looks so cool! Tell me what u think?

the guy on ripleys is a guy i've been riding with for about 5 years now here in provo, utah / and you are right they kick as and are very fun!! i had one last year and loved it but i agree with the other guy to get a fitty, that's what i got coming next month 2004 xr50. but if you want a pocketbike my buddy here Mike Bischoff is where we get them. he's always sellin' them for a good price new or used. if you want more info pm me
Had two of them, a water cooled 13 horsepower (did 50MPH) and an air cooled 6 horse (did 35-40MPH). Both were fun but the water cooled with more power was definitely worth the extra $$$. They are fun but do break a lot and require maint. on a regular basis. They are easy to repair (3 moving parts in engine) but still a pain in the **** when you are riding and need to do a quicky rebuild... Makes it no fun. They are 2 stroke and wheelies and stoppies are rather hard to do. A good wheelie on these is maybe 50ft long, and I have never seen a wheelie on a pocketbike go longer than about 150ft, and I used to compete in races and wheelie comps. Stoppies are damn near impossible because the bikes are so small it is hard to keep your feet on the bike while lifting. Forget about rolling stoppies, I don't think it's ever gonna happen. I own a fiddy and can wheelie well over 600ft and I can do rolling stoppies over 50ft, so it's not me it is definitely the pocketbikes. They are fun and good for a laugh, but only good for street/parking lot riding and high speed for a little bike... Buy a fiddy... LOL
