making chrome windscreen

Is there anything I should know about painting my yellow windscreen chrome? I was going to rough up the inside with grey wool then spray it with chrome paint. Anyone ever do this? Or would I be better off buying a new windscreen? I thought I would try this before I buy a new one. I just bought the yellow one about a month ago online and I dont like the way it looks.

dont rough up the inside of it though, then when you paint the inside you'll see all the scratches between the screen and the paint. Just leave it smooth and paint onto that and then put a couple coats lf clear on it. Also make sure you use paint with a flex addative in it like for r/c car bodies so it doesn't chip off when your screen flexes.

I already broke a sportech screen, looked sweet before it broke.

Definately use the rc model paint.

Here's what my o3' gsxr 600 looked like when I spray painted my stock wind screen. Not bad for the $3.99 can of spray paint! Might be hard to tell in this picture due to the limited resolution needed for posting this, but trust me it looks sweet!
