Heres the deal i buy a 99 r1 off of ebay looks nice guy seems nice everything is good i get good price on bike because it has been down HARD i was like okay maybe 1000 bucks to spend for all new plastics and subframe. Well after waiting two monthes i finally get the bike (still no title) says its on the way. Well was told the engine voer was busted so i figure no biggie 50 bucks.Well yeah its busted half of its missing and when it busted off it took a couple pieces of the block with it where it bolts on. SO now heres a list of parts i need if you can help or knwo of someone that can email me

98-99 Full street plastics,condition doesnt matter or brand thinking of doing sharskinz since they are only $500
00-01 subframe and tailsection
98-99 fairing stay
98-99 headlight
rearsets
passenger pegs
exhaust
left clipon
windscreen

i got a price on the tail mids and lowers from local cycle shop with minor scratches for $250 so if i cant get no better ill just do sharskinz and a normail street tail

I hate to give you bad news but I believe that the subframe on the R1 is part of the actual frame not seperate. So if it is bent or broke you have a pretty big problem.

 

i know it is but no big deal have old one cut off and new opne welded on

 

I bought a crashed 900rr, the hardest thing is gettin all the parts on time... I had to get a subframe for it and a month later its finally here. That was a major set back but just finished the bike tonight. I bougt a set of Sharkskinz body work for it, nice fit need little prep.. Cheaper than buying some used stuff

 

Try www.redlinemotorsports.biz they deal in used parts, repoed bikes etc. they might have some of the parts that you need. if not you can give them a call and they might be able to find stuff for you.
