Angry Slammed With DRAG RACING Charge...........

WTF..........is with The friggin PO These days???? A couple friends were rollin through St Charles headin east bound on Rt 64 just before Tyler. Had an opening in the right lane , while riding side by side, they accelerated and changed into the right lane. At the most they were probably speeding 10 over in a 40 mph zone. We proceeded down the road a couple miles taking 64 E to Kirk . Headed south down Kirk, couple miles down to Stern Rd (Practice spot) . As soon as they hit their turn signal to turn on Stern the PO hit the cherries. And Nailed them for Dragracing. WTF is that.........

First off how come it to the lame *** PO 4 miles to pull us over for dragracing, you would think if they were racing he would of nailed them ASAP rather than waiting until turning onto a supposive HOT SPOT for bikers ,4 miles down the road.

Second Off , the PO did not have a source of speed detection ( no speeding tickets) WTF........

The second officer that arrived on the scene, admitted that they have recieved calls from people requarding motorcycles speeding and racing on Stern Rd. And That they were going to make examples of them (my friends) and for them to tell their friends that Stern Rd is finished for praciticing. .

How wrong is that............On the ticket it states they they were Dragracing heading EB on 64 crossing Tyler........But Yet they dident get pulled over for 4 miles down the road turning on to a supposive (HOT SPOT) For motorcyclists. What a bunch of BS.......

Do they need a speeding violation for DragRacing?

dont they need to pull you over with in a certain amount of time or distance?

How Friggin Bogus...........

I could care less about Stern Rd, Its been burt up for some time now. It just seems foolish that we dident get pulled over untill we decided to turn down a road known to police for bikers to terrorize.................

I guess I just needed some where to vent....

No they do not need to issue you a Speeding Ticket for Drag Racing (trust me, the drag racing ticket alone is bad enough). I got hit with "Participating in Drag Racing" ticket last year. Funny thing is that my bike wasn't even on, the key was in my pocket!!! I would definately try and take it to court though. Good Luck!

Got pulled over driving my buddies mustang, making a left turn, with a buddy on his old zx10 in front of me, I didn't notice the piggy behind me because this guys back window was BLACK it was so dark, so I got it hard and went sideways. Meanwhile my buddy on the bike pulls away hard, testing the bike, we just got it back together. So they hit the cherries, I pull over, he goes around me and goes and grabs the guy on the bike, so I'm like, sorry dude, just your luck, so I try to go around them and continue on, when a squad coming the other way suddenly veers out on front of me blocking me in.

Mind you, this was a 2 lane road, we made a left onto it, one behind the other, in the same single lane. They claimed we were drag racing! WHAT?!

Do they even know what drag racing is?!

Well the bike wasn't legal, and the owner riding it was on revoked. Since I was the only one with even a permit, I had to ride it back, and thankfully they didn't cuff his ***, slapped him in the stang, and my other buddy, who couldn't drive stick, had to learn quickly, in front of 4 cops, in gravel, in a supercharged fox body mustang. Umm yeah

Didn't help that the bike was lowered, and didn't have the kickstand cut yet, so it was sitting straight up. So I got to swing a leg over, and the ground sloped on the right side, and I'm short, so the bike falls over. Took two officers to help me lift it up! (those damned things are 600 lbs!)

Anyways, drag racing.. pfft...

Re: Slammed With DRAG RACING Charge...........

Hire a good traffic lawyer and he can probally get it dismissed. They will have to "prove" in court that you were technically drag racing, which unless they straight up lie, will be hard to do.

Price of a lawyer is alot less than the fine and increase in insurance for bikes and cars for a few years.

If you think there is a chance to get it dropped, fight it!!! Always remeber that this is America! It's innocent until proven guilty not guilty until proven innocent. I don't know what is going on lately but I've been hearing a lot about tickets. The cops can issue you any ticket they want to , the thing to remember is that they have to prove guilt in court!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!

Unfortunately it's not innocent until proven anymore. It's more like the other way around. Now-a-days the accused has to fight more to prove innocence than the prosecuter has to fight to prove guilt. The justice system is just royally screwed lately and it's getting worse. People just don't care anymore. It's all about money now.

werD...man fight it, They were not drag racing, If they were they would have gone alot faster. 2. he might have been out of his jurisdiction (always check that) cops always do that and dont say anything until court comes and that will automatically drop it for sure. 3. He waited 4 miles to pull you over? State that in court if he waited 4 miles how would he have even kept up if you were drag racing? 4. Have the cop prove the speed, (but drag racing is a whole other category) but do it anyways. And it should get dropped. Good luck man!

if they had a cop following them for 4 miles, why would they turn on a road known as a stunt spot?
