Im completely confused...my 02 gsxr 600 just quit on me earlier tonight on my way home. Its obviously electrical but i dont know where to begin. it started with my gauge cluster going blank including the tach then shortly after that happens the bike will die. now if i turn my ingnition on and off then roll the bike off it'll start then just die again.... and also my battery has been dying lately? so many problems...if anyone has experienced this before please let me know

 

I had an '04 GSXR750 that did the same ****. It died to the point that it wouldn't even roll start. I was in the Netherlands at the time and when I walked away for 3 min to check a roadside map the bastards scooped it up. Anyways, I would venture to guess that you have a problem with your alternator that's causing the bike to not charge up while you're riding. Probably need to replace it but check it with a volt meter first before you take my word for it.

 

Yeah that would be a good place to start. i do have a extra stator and acess to a voltmeter..
btw what do you mean by the "bastards scooped it up"?

 

The Dutch bastards stole it!!!! I ride a 954 now. Miss the hell outta my GSX-R. The 954 is too damn twitchy.
