stunt bike flaw

so im out pounding the streets yesterday and didnt really think too much about how low on gas i was since i have no gauges. so im rollin down 31 and decide to do a 2nd gear stand up. i get her up to balance point and bam, engine dies. i go flying over the handlebars and while dangling, i try to get her restarted, no luck. as i try to get back up on her, inotice im going left fast and that there is a curb infront of me, long story short, front wheel hits the curb i superman it across the median the bike does a couple of flips as it chases me, and we both end up in oncoming traffic. luckily no cars. now im out at least one fork, and maybe both triple trees a clutch fluid reservoir, scraped both wheels..... fml...... lesson of the story, make sure you get gas if you even think you may be low. i know most expensive tank of gas ever huh

Re: stunt bike flaw

same thing happened to a friend. 2nd gear seat stander down a major highway and it ran out of gas. mouse trapped, he went over the bars got road rashed to **** and a concussion, bike was fine. then loading it into his truck, his concussed *** dropped the bike off the ramp and smashed the minty tail into pieces.

he still refuses to even ziptie the gauges on

Re: stunt bike flaw

Only thing thats worse than running out of gas mid wheelie is when it catches and refires right when its about to slam down the front and your still on the gas. :

if the tip sensor cut it off it wouldnt have restarted. tip sensor cuts off and you actually have to turn the key off and then back on to get the bike to fire again.

Re: stunt bike flaw

my buddy has this same problem all the time, he never checks his tank before we go out riding. maybe its just me being paranoid all the time but i usually check my tank b4 i leave and if its below half tank or wat i think is half tank from the way it sounds in the tank then i get some gas.

But the whole fuse thing man thats just bad day written all over it, atleast the outcome was probly the best you could hope for. your all good, and so is your bike so you lucked out
