i need advice QUICK

k, bout a month ago, i got pulled over for "reckless driving". i have the Misdemeandor Citation infront of me now. My court date/booking is at 7AM in the morning...

cop put...

"""""Subject Driving a MotorCycle at Speeds over 110 MPH cutting in and out of traffic. Subject driving over 90 MPH with police right behind him.""""

I asked him if he clocked me if i could see it, he said he didn't.

i never signed the citation. he got my fingerprint though. I'm debating on pleading not guilty in the morning.

what should i do???

(i would have asked sooner, but i completely forgot untill about 3 hours ago at work.)

(my side of the story, oh yeah, i forgot)

i was MOVING. steady atleast 130+ (speedo=/) i was slowly coming up on my exit so i finally got into the right lane, started to get off and as i sat up i noticed him behind me, so i down shifted, and took off, but i noticed i was out of gas =[ i don't use reserve. so i pulled on over. fully co-operated, tried to ask how he got me, said he paced me. whatever. still trying to figure out what to do.

my idea : plead not guilty, not go to court the first time (sick) then show up and hope he doesn't.

i have one other prior arrest but it got erased for drag racing.. a ticket for reckless driving, went to school for it. a ticket for running a stop sign, went to school for it.

Re: i need advice QUICK

1. always plea not guilty.... This way they have to hear what you have to say.

2. the whole banking on the cop not showing up... stupid.

3. If it's that important to you get a lawyer. If not try and work with the cop first.

When u think of the term public defenders, u may as well call 'em "public pretenders" because they are exactly that. Dont get me wrong im sure there are some that work their *** off but they are paid by the state, and take no personal interest in if you win or not because they will always have work...

you know when your arrested the police says "If you cant afford an attorney one will be appointed to you" thats a public pretender...

If you was anywhere near this area i could recommend a few, but like dood above me said its all about money and who u know... they could care less if you learned a lesson morally, they just want to make their pockets fatter.

In short, ANYTIME you go with an attorney get a KNOWN GOOD attorney... not a state appointed one. Even if your broke, try and come up with the money cuz it will end up costin you less in the long run... Good luck and let us know how it goes...

Re: i need advice QUICK

did the judge rip you a new one cause you didnt sign the ticket? when i went to court i heard my judge screaming at ppl for not doing it. he said its just a reciept and not an admission of guilt.
you could have also pleaded "no contest" which means your guilty but you wna explain your side of the story. and when you plead no contest it doesnt go on your record tht you pleaded guilty. i dno just my . . thats what i did
