I know at some point in the last few years R6's went from inverted forks back to conventional but the rest of the bike stayed looking the same. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between the front rims on the 2? I have one I'm trying to sell but not sure what year it goes to

well the 05 ravens came with the red lip pinstrip so its prolly goes to an 05 with inverted forks

 

Yea, I was thinking that too but wasn't sure if that was the only year they made the raven. Anyone else know for sure?

 

they only started having raven color in 05. 06 R6S have the red pinstrip too but doesnt have inverted forks

 

Well, thats kinda what my problem is lol.. I need to know how to tell the difference in those 2

i asked some ppl on r6-forum and one guy said that the rims are the same its the rotors that are slightly different

 

hmm.. I would think the axle on the inverted front end would be different..

 

So if he's right.. 04-08 is all the same? As long as it's the S model?

 

would fit 03 - 05 R6 and 06 - 08 R6S

I got 2 spares for my 05 and they both were on eBay saying 03-05r6 -06+r6s...and they fit fine...

only diff is the size of the rotors
