Question How to properly scrub in a new set of tires

I just put on some new michelin pilots, and I was just wondering what the proper tenique is to scrub them in. I almost afraid to lean over like I used to in fear of me falling over or something. I did a burn out to burn the main patch of the rear tire, but the sides is what im worried about. It almost feels like the steering is really tight and the bike is hard to lean over compared to when I had my old tires on. Should i just quit being a puss bag and just ride like i normally would only turn it down a notch?

Thanks

ride the bike around in a parking lot, weaving back and forth, and riding some circles to break it in

What Miltown said! Same thing road racers do before the start of a race. Warms the tires up and cleans them off. Also does a good job of scrubbin them.

P.S. Good choice in tires. Thats what I have on my bike and I love them.

At the dealership you may be able to purchase a pad that is kinda like steel wool or something.. Usually they give it to you with a new bike.. At least they do at a dealship here... You can go over the new tire with that a couple of times and that will do it for ya..

Find yourself a parking lot. Whenever I put on new tires, I hit up the culdesac thingy infront of my house and drag knee around it. It really pisses the neighbors off. One neighbor always laughs his *** off cause he rides and we are always doing stupid **** like flattening gatorade bottles and duct taping it to our knees and scraping that ****.
