2008 cbr 1000rr
If anyone gets Hondas Red Rider Magazine , the new 1000rr is on the cover and reviewed .
The bike is completely different in many ways .
Things the 1000rr has incorporated :
Lighter , more compact engine (5 lbs. lighter) (seperate sleeveless cylinder block)
New pistons
New cylinder head
New camshafts
Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD)
Idle Air Control Valve (IACV)
Ignition Interrupt Control System (IICS)
Slipper clutch (with internal mechanical assist)
Low mount exhaust system (with 2 electronic exhaust valves)
Gull-wing shaped swingarm (created and designed so the the low mount exhaust would fit to the bike)
4 piece frame (instead of 9 piece)
Lighter brake callipers
Lighter , narrower brake lines
Lighter rotors
Lighter wheels
Smaller , lighter 7AH Battery
All new fairing and light designs (turn signal lights on mirrors)
The "normal" style honda logo on the gas tank has also been changed to a round button that is recessed into the tank . Much like the yamaha logo .
The tailsection looks like a yamaha . The turn signal and licence plate bracket stretch about 1ft. behind the bike .
The traditional , classic honda wing graphics on the side fairings , will only come on the red/black model and the limited edition black/grey model , and they are very small graphics . The wing graphics start at the top of the side fairings (where it meets the upper fairing) , and runs back over the top and side of the gas tank .

Re: 2008 cbr 1000rr
designers nowadays are thinking 2 ahead of themselves..
the front end on it looks like it was pushed in .. the older models were a lot moer sharp.. when i first saw the 600rr when they released them i thought it was the ****! undertail exhaust sick headlights.. but this one just doesnt catch my eye at all.
the R1 and R6 takes the cake for 08
as far as looks
look at the r6s that body hasnt really been modified too crazy since 99!!

Re: 2008 cbr 1000rr
honda smoked some crack when they were designing 08 stuff, they have a TRX700xx for 08 that is hands down the ugliest quad i've ever seen in my life. the 1000 is hideous...wtf are they thinking.
