crash cages

I was checking out HAI's website and I saw that for my '04 Gixxer1000 there is only Freestyle Ingenuity, powers, and power 905. Anyone know if Sick innovations makes them for my bike? If not which of those 3 would be the best alternative.

Re: crash cages

I don't think they got much on the 1000 sceen. HAI had the same 3 for my R1.

Go with powers. Thats gonna be the best they have. 2nd best 905. Third is get a custom cage made.
I don't have much luv for FI cages.

Some people complain about hitting there shinns on the 905, but its still a good cage. The powers is the best of the 3 though.

Bingo, know of 2 FI cages that have broken all the welds. ALL the welds on a good hit.

Not to mention all the threads here about broken stator covers because of them.

Re: crash cages

ive heard that 905 cages break welds and shins and if people would learn how to ride there wouldnt be anyproblems with fi cages. but seriously si and powers are supposed to be the toughest u can get. u can just look at a powers cage and see how strong it is

I had a 905 cage on my old F2 and I didn't bash my shins. I've set a few down hard too when I was learning.

I have heard alot of people say that about them though.
Havent heard about the welds though.
