it might have nothing to do with your new tire. try checking the tire pressure of your front tire, if its fine, then the front tire is not good. Get it changed! if you are low on pressure, fill the tire pressure to suggested psi.
had a similiar situation happen to a buddy of mine who had a gsxr600. bad head shakes at high speeds. assumed the bike was messed up..we checked the fork cells, tire pressure..all was good..couldnt figure it out. finally got a fresh set of tires, next thing you know, the shake was gone. the front tire was cupped, although its hard to tell when a tire is cupped by just visually looking at it from a stand point. little detials like that can off set the balance of the front end and cause shakes like what you described.

i just put a new tire on my katana it shakes at 130 now but befor i coud do 150 with out it shaking the new tire is taller i dont know what it could be
