Re: 954 calm down.

throttle control!

gearing or power commander would make it worse imo

Come On, Wtf. You Want A Slow Bike, Buy A Slow Bike. There Is Nothing You Can Do To Make A Bike Slower Unless You Pull Of A Spark Plug Wire Or Something. These Posts Are Getting Ridiculous.

Less twitchy has nothing to do with less power.
You should know what he's talkin about. The throttle response on 929/954's are a little different then other bikes.

Gearing def would not help the twitchyness.

I would think a power comander could be uesed to smooth it out some, but I really don't know.
Just learn to control it and if you ever get another bike you'll be that much better.

Re: 954 calm down.

i use to have a 954 and thought it was less twitchy than my r6. theres a couple mods u can do to help smooth it alittle bit and stop the eractic idle. theres something with the airbox u can do and u can also take the baffle/valve off the exhuast at the end of the header. take it out and put a nut and bolt were the hole is to seal the exhaust back up.

Re: 954 calm down.

Throttle Control is the answer.

Also, try 2nd gear if you didn't already - way better than 1st.

I have a 954, 1st is touchy but anyone can handle it if they have good throttle control.

For an easy and cheap gearing change, go 2 down in front AND STAY THE HELL OUT OF FIRST GEAR FOR SURE !!! ---UNTIL YOU'RE READY.

Twichy does not mean slower or less powerful, Mr Smith. All im asking is it to be less likely to jump out my hands.

Thank you for knowing what Im talking about, apfire26. My last 954 a powercommander gave it a better response I just shot it out there to see If there was a solution. Thanks..

Re: 954 calm down.

ITS A LOSING BATTLE, DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. STICKING WITH THE 929 HAS EARNED ME A LITTLE RESPECT, BUT MY NEXT BIKE WILL DEFINATELY BE A 600. IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT TRICKS YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH. IF YOU ARE INTO LOT STUFF THEN IT WILL BE HARDER ON A BIG BIKE, IF YOU RIDE THE STREETS AND WANT TRICKS LIKE COASTERS AND STOPPIES THEN THE 929/954 IS PERFECT.
YES, I FINALLY GOT BIT BY MY BIKE BUT IVE BEEN ON IT FOR 4 YRS.
