good place to move to in the USA?
Re: good place to move to in the USA?
i wanna move to the US but im not sure where...
i dont want earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornados etc. and i dont want to have a winter... but i would like to be near some body of water. so that way my house wont get ruined and i can ride all year long... does such a place exsist?
anyway... im a powersports tech and an amateur tig welder... i work at a marina right now since its the only place in toronto that offers 12 months of work but id rather work on bikes... i want to move in 2 years(so i can save for the down payment on a house)...
thanks for the help

Austin Texas, but I'm biased :D
If you are going to live in Texas, Austin is THE best city to live in. It may not have the best bike scene (DFW K-I-L-L-S Austin in that regard) but the people here are the best.
Re: good place to move to in the USA?
I see a lot of people recommending Florida....just know that when you go to Florida, you have to re-learn how to breathe, because the air is so god damn thick with humidity that its like breathing underwater.
I went to Florida one time and it was miserable, everywhere you go you can feel the humidity dripping off your body and when you get out of the shower it feels like you never dry off..
Maybe I just went at the wrong time of year but it was NOT what I would call "enjoyable weather"...yea it was sunny but jesus the humidity made it just ridiculous..

Re: good place to move to in the USA?
weathers nice here.. not too many places to ride. people can't drive. Youll get sick of the food. (no taco trucks) It's expensive as San Fransisco. Milk's sometimes $5 a gallon. The traffic sucks.
But like I said the weathers nice:YEAH
