I dont know if any of yall have seen this but I just had to post it after I saw it! Some of the stuff these "police" officers say directly about all of us as riders is $&*Ked up!!!!!! Read this fourm and tell me what every body thinks, and they wonder why alot of people on bikes do what we do. This is why my plate stays tucked on my 1000 and my 600 gos in the back of my truck to the parking lot!

It wouldn't have been so messed up if some dumb a$$es wouldn't have went in there and been such ***** about it. Look, bottom line, if you are doing a f#$kin wheelie down the street and a cop spots you... UM, reality check... you deserve a ticket "if" you get caught. But what is BS is when you are just riding along not doing a damn thing and a cop stops you just to hassle you. So I can see his point, there are A LOT of riders/squids out there that make it bad for the rest of us. But don't go crying to mommy if you get busted showboating! That's a copout (no pun intended) and your a$$ deserves a ticket.

But it's also unfair to get a ticket for doing nothing, or get hassled even if you are obiding to the laws!

I agree with you 100%! arrest the choders doing wheelies in 4 oclock traffic, they deserve it! but when they are saying stuff like "I give bikers tickets every time I pull one over and then write them a ticket for as many infractions as I can come up with" that is F%&ked up. I am not sitting here crying about the cops, "we have all been haseld on the bikes at one point in time" Im just saying the words that are comeing directly out of there mouths on this fourm are horrible. And after saying things like that they wonder why so many people run from them.

Im going to say this agin if you are acting a fool and the cops get you thats your own stupidity, but they are stright up saying they just like to *&ck with us!

i just don't understand how they get pissed about us doing under 5 mph in a parking lot without anyone around for 100yards. that to me isn't wreckless. the in traffic 80mph wheelies does though.

what they call a "stunt rider" is just a squid that powers up a wheelie...definately not a stuntrider. that's like saying because i can shoot 80% at the free throw line that i'm a basketball player....no, not even close.

ya, that sucks.....we actually practice and do things right. ya, we hit up the streets from time to time but who does it in rush hour traffic in a busy area? i don't, i find some out of the way streets with what i would call light to almost none traffic. also, we are controlled, abiding by the speedlimits even on 1 wheel. if a power wheelie makes you a stunter, then i'm a freaking god on a bike. i must be a fighter pilot too because i have my pilots license.

Re: This is really messed up. check out this police fourm!!!!

These people are referred to by the larger sportsbike community as "squids", an acronym for "stupid, quick, underdressed, ignorant and dangerous", typically they'll include the stunt riding and drag racing crowd, which really damage the public's perception of sportsbike riders, dreadful films like "Biker Boyz" don't help.

Here's how to spot a squid bike;
Squids are usually most easily identified by their clothing, or lack of it, look for idiots in t-shirts, shorts, flip flops/trainers and **** pot helmets or no helmet at all, usually riding a 1000cc inline 4 with no mirrors, these are the really dangerous riders, they have no idea of responsibility and don't know how to control their machines - pulling a wheelie doesn't mean you know how to ride.
WOW. Most intelligent cop I've ever heard of! Even I didn't know the acronym for squid... infact I would be surprised if half of us here did, I've seen the squid definition thread and no one knew it actually stood for something!

Re: This is really messed up. check out this police fourm!!!!

Hehe, I liked the Brit schooling everyone...

I just resigned my position after 4 years on December 1st. I was a cop for 4 years, and for the most part I loved it.

The things I didn't enjoy were the different way you begin to see people. I'm not going to start a fight or anything, just let me speak my mind...

As a cop, you see the world differently. Not because of training, not because of past experiences. You see things differently because people tend to show you a different side of them you wouldn't normally see. In my years, I've arrested 3 black men that were polite and knew the jig was up. EVERY SINGLE other black arrest was because, "it's my get yo ***** day." I'm serious when I say I counted. I could never arrest a black man because he was doing something illegal or had a warrant, it was always because they were black.

Flip side...

I also worked in a jail for a while. Inside the jail, I got no respect until about a year into it when I had to go into a dayroom with 30 inmates by myself to put my hands on someone who wanted to rumble. I got my *** chewed by the sheriff for doing it - but I got serious respect because I didn't run from a possible threat. From that day on, if anything happened in that jail and I wanted to know about it - I just had to ask. Those guys treated me like a big brother and they trusted me... And 90% of our population were blacks.

What's the moral here?

People are people. Humans are humans. No matter what you're doing, unless you're outright breaking the law, you have nothing to worry about. Let them have their opinions about you, because I tell you what, you'd be a bunch of hypocrites to imagine for one second you didn't have your opinions about them. Judge people on how you're treated.

Also, this bullshit about, "you gotta give respect to get it." Get over yourself. As a human being, it's your job to be respectful to your fellow man first. Don't wait for him to be polite, be the bigger man and act like a man - be respectful. If the world waited for everyone else to show them respect, it'd be the biggest fvcking stalemate ever.

Reading through those posts reminds me of some breakfast chats I'd had in the past. Nothing too different. Remeber though, when those cops are talking, they're also listening. You just have to make a point to them that they can understand. Just like an impressionable child, it's never too late to sway someones way of thinking. That's why I think I was a good cop. I came from the streets, got in fights my whole life, never had a solid family environment - so when I would talk to these other cops, they got a real-world perspective and not some fairy tale bullshit from the suburbs from someone who has no life experience.

All I'm trying to say is, cops aren't just unfairly targeting sportbikes for no good reason, and as an active member on a stunter forum, chances are you've done your part to help perpetuate the myth that all riders are reckless.

I'm not condemning you, I'm just saying don't sit there with such a surprised look on your face, that's all.

Kudos to the Brit in that cop forum, though!

"Who does it in rush hour traffic...?"

Man, I could find video after video on YouTube showing that exact same thing. Those are the people you guys should be getting pissed about, not the cops. And that's only if the opinoins of the cops bother you. If it doesn't bother you then who cares?

I hardly imagine Bullo will be in here complaining that stunters got a bad rap, haha. See my point?

P.S. Bullo, if you do find your way in here, I fvcking dig you dude - you ride killer and I got much respect for ya - just trying to make a point.

And now it is time to speak my mind to you , Officer Friendly .

Your statement about black people was pretty funny . Out of the hundreds of black people you have given tickets to , only three were civil about it ?
I think you just racially profiled all black americans by saying that .

I bet almost half of the black people that used "You are arresting me cause i'm black" line towards you were probably telling the truth .
You can not tell me that cops don't search and harrass minorities more than white people .
Many cops use profiling . And don't tell me they don't . We all know it happens .

The actions you took about being in jail and going to break up a fight by yourself in a room full of convicts was downright stupid .
You are lucky to be alive . You can never judge a criminal and what he will do in a situation like that . Especially to a police officer in a prison .
I also think your sheriff was correct for chewing your *** out for doing what you did that day . You put yourself at extreme danger and also to people around you .

------------------------------------------------

You said this :

People are people. Humans are humans. No matter what you're doing, unless you're outright breaking the law, you have nothing to worry about. Let them have their opinions about you, because I tell you what, you'd be a bunch of hypocrites to imagine for one second you didn't have your opinions about them. Judge people on how you're treated.

----------

People have many things to worry about . Just like when you are sitting with friends and a cop comes up and runs your plates , asks you 1000000 questions ,
checks everything on your bike , gives you stupid infractions like low tread , or loud exhaust , then tells you to leave , "or else" .
And then a Harley bike will drive by with open exhaust

That kind of assanine police work leaves a mark in your brain .

You may not have been that kind of cop , but there are many like that . And it is hard to forget .

-----------------------------------------------------

Then you said :

Judge people on how you are treated .

---------

When you are treated like a child for doing nothing , i think it is fair to judge that cop as being an ******* .

--------------------------------------------------------

But then you said this :

Also, this bullshit about, "you gotta give respect to get it." Get over yourself. As a human being, it's your job to be respectful to your fellow man first. Don't wait for him to be polite, be the bigger man and act like a man - be respectful. If the world waited for everyone else to show them respect, it'd be the biggest fvcking stalemate ever.

-----------

So what about the ******* cop giving out gay tickets ? Why doesn't he be a man and act like it , and be respectful to me first ?

After all , he is a police officer that we should look up to , right ?

The "You gotta give respect to get it" statement is true in every way .

The only problem , is that you can only use this with regular people and not cops .

If a cop is disrespectful to you and you are the same way back to him , you will only cause more problems for yourself .
Infact , that is probably what the officer wants if he is that way towards you .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

You said this :

All I'm trying to say is, cops aren't just unfairly targeting sportbikes for no good reason

-------------------

Yes , they do .

Not all cops , but there are quite a few .

There wouldn't be discussion about it if they weren't

Anyways , i like nice cops

They are usually easy to spot

BTW , this thread is a repost

And get a black seat for your f3 . You don't roll with the Police anymore

LMFAO!

A slight rebuttle to maintain my integrity...

I haven't arrested hundreds, probably close to 50-60 blacks in my time. Many more whites than blacks. The thing with arresting whites is that if they're being an ***, they have this, "I'll fight all of you, I'll kick all your asses at the same time, take that badge off," mentality. Doesn't matter if it's a white or black cop arresting them.

Blacks - because I'm black

Whites - they are the toughest thing to walk the Earth

Mexicans - "oh, I sorry."

Mexicans are the absolute most cordial and polite.

You wanna hear something that you won't likely hear very often?

Yep, police profile. If they see a black man walking down a street in a known drug activity neighborhood at 2am, they're gonna stop him.

If they see a big *** Greatfull Dead bear bumper sticker on your ride, they might follow you and hope you eff up so they can stop you and get inside your vehicle.

Why do they do that, because it works. I'm not gonna debate the fact that it's "wrong." The fact is, 90% of pretextual stops are effective.

Yeah, I put myself in danger going into that dayroom, but it was a decision I made based on fact and experience. I was right that time.

Now, I'm not here to try and get you guys to like cops - I see the BS too. That's why I got out. What I would like to convince you of is that the majority of cops are great people who would do anything for you. Most of them, if they are targeting bikes, is because of citizens complaining to the chief (meaning enforcement better go up or it's your job), they might have their own experiences to draw from, or you may be the first bike they ever pulled over and they are going to judge every other sportbike by how you act.

I'm just asking that everyone realize that there is two sides to every story. Sometimes there is a damn good reason, and sometimes there just isn't.

What I find non-productive is that matter in which everyone talks about it. You either think it's BS and what to do something about it...

Or you realize that you're on a stunt forum and there's a good chance you've been in the streets doing wheelies or something - if that's the case, it's your job to not dig cops. It's your job to try and get away. Just like it's their job to catch you...

That's pretty much what street stunting is, no? Doing as much as possible without getting caught? Then when you do get caught you bitch and moan about how he was a dick?

Come on man - this has been the stigma surrounding motorcycles since they're inception - riders have complained about unfair treatment since the dawn of two wheels. You knew the score going into the game - the ***** in your hands...

WHat are you gonna do with it? I hope you run and I hope you get away

P.S. Looking for a black Corbin or a good shape OEM black... hook me up?
