I'm on r1-forum, and i think its the biggest dedicated site for a single model sportbike. Anyway, Ive seen *indicated speed* 189 but the speedo is off at that speed......so im guessin it was really around 170ish

the r1 stock wont go more than 189mph. ecu restricted.... but it can be removed.
but, speedo still wont read over 189 mph... your rpms will still increase, you just wont see anything more than 189 on your dash.
