Street v. Lot

Stunters on the street, grass roots, or does it hurt a sport? Do you guys think stunters should stick to lots and try to get our sport more legit or throw some whoolies on the streets every now and then? just curious what you all thought

thats a good point. i just wish we could find someone to make our sport more legit and more acceptable to the 'authority figures'. it seems that as soon as a cop see's a cage or a 12 bar...its time to pull the bike over, cuz they must be doing something wrong...just sux

street=$530 ticket

Re: Street v. Lot

i think the community in general has pretty much gotten over the "bad for the sport" philosophy. It is, but whatever.

+1

streets will never end. i totally agree with emrock. no matter what cops threaten us with, or the dangers we face, people are always gonna kill the streets.

if you know how to wheelie...and you have a streetbike and a lot bike....then when you take the streetbike out...how you gonna NOT do wheelies??

hahaha, i dont you can ! it seems, though, that the more you learn, the more you want to hit the lots. just my opinion. i see lots of people pulling, like, a 12" wheelie...i have only seen one crew riding in person, that rocked anything higher than a few inches, but i think they were just showing off for me cuz at one of the red lights i was talking how i was just learning how to wheelie...so im sure the spreaders and high chairs were just for show but back to my point, seems that the more experienced you get, the more conservative....or people round riverside the only ones that dont bust stuff?

Re: Street v. Lot

I could give a **** if it hurts the sport or not.Drag racing is a legit sport and there has been street racing before and after it became that way.Gabiling and prostition is legal in some parts of the US,so does that mean it isnt conducted anywhere else?I assume the same will go stunt riding.

People who pull over to cops after stunt riding on the street is bad for the sport statisicly.

It's not going to stop. The streets are fun but to me it's just not worth it.

Re: Street v. Lot

yeah the streets are fun and all but to me they are a thing of the past,
its where the sport started, but now its all about the technical tricks, and going slow takes so much more skill. running is a chore and leaves you feeling nervous as fvck, getting fines/tickets sux, all to split some soccer moms wig?

forget it, i'd rather invest my time in the lots so someday it will pay off on a competitive level.
thats just how i feel
