Dam Dam Dampers!
Dam Dam Dampers!
Arite. im sick of almost dying from tankslappers. can anyone help me decide which damper to get.
i know Ohlins is the ****.
Scotts is good.
GPR is good.
HyperPro used to ****.
gellato (? somthing like that) sends you a damper with an ohlins shock inside for 100 bucks less than an ohlins.
but i want to know which mounts easiest?
which ones take fabrication, which bolts right up?
wuts the pluses and minuses?
which will last?
which needs to be rebuilt right away?
I really like how the GPR bolts right up to the bike and you dont have to fab nothing. I like how it looks better also, opposed to the shock on the bike. and i also like that the dial is right there for you to look down at and adjust.
just curious what everyone else thinks??

Re: Dam Dam Dampers!
The Shock-type Ohlins Is The Best, But Gets Easily Damaged With Crashes. Scotts Are Good And Can Be Re-located To Any Bike With 125 Dollar Mounting Hardware Kit. Havent Had Any Experience With The Others
Re: Dam Dam Dampers!
I had to make my GPR dampener fit, the idiots at GRP said that the gixxxer 750 (04/05) has an angled gas tank… I told them they were idiots and I’m looking right at my bike now and it doesn’t fit. They stuck to their story...
I had to shave my base plate down about a 1/8" and than cut off some of the other mounting bracket for it to just barely fit. It’s a good dampener but ... customer service sucks and its over priced
