How long did you wait to share?

I was wondering how long you guys waited (if at all) before you let inexperienced riders on your bike? I'm only curious because my friends have been asking me since i got the bike in august to ride it, but i'm to afraid to let them. I did buy a brand new CBR 600 RR, so that's why i'm so protective of her. I keep telling them they can ride after i get frame sliders for it.

waited till it was already messed up and had a cage. i figure they can't put it through more abuse than i put it through.

Re: How long did you wait to share?

Seeing as I have dropped my bike just a few times already (ok, so its more than a few times) I will let nearly anyone ride it. I am selective as to who stunts it but anyone is welcome to ride it. I have seen some funny stuff as a result.

true, mine is a little rashed and it has a cage. I've only let 4 people ride it, and I know for a fact that those 4 could pay for the bike if they happend to crash it...be very cautious of who rides your bike, I dont care if you've been friends for a while or not, be cautious...

If it is a pretty street bike don't do it unless they have one.
Time and time again same story...
I just let my buddy take it down the street and he laid it down...
Your insurance goes up, go without a bike for months, and now a friendship that has to bare the weight of financial BS..
***** THAT!!

Unless it's a crunchy piece.. Skip that!!!

Re: How long did you wait to share?

i wont let anybody ride my bike unless its completely necessary,
i.e. a good friend broke down and needs it to get to work or something

i think its just flat out bad luck to be riding someone elses bike.
if someone says ooh let me try your bike, they arent just going to do some figure eights and then say oh your steering is tighter than mine.

they want to open that **** up! or do a wheelie. and 90% of the time your bike is f*cked.

rule of thumb is: You can only ride my bike, if you have something better then me! That way, when they crash it (..and they will crash it), you'll have something to ride till they get yours fixed!

My rule is you can ride it only if you are better than me and you don't drop your **** every 2 minutes.

I'll let anyone ride my bike, just tell them to make sure it's totalled if they put it down.

I'm with the thought that they need something of equal or greater value than mine.

Re: How long did you wait to share?

i let ppl i trust ride my caged out stunt bike, but my street/stunter i don't let anyone ride....it's caged too, but it's MINTY, so i figure if they quit being cool over me not letting them ride, it's better than them quit being cool over wrecking/not paying for my ****
