Question Balanceing/Truing

I am changing both my tires and putting on new rubber for the new season. Last year after i had my rear changed by a friend the bike pulled right, bad enough I could stand on the seat for to long because I was headed for the curb. Anyway... would just truing get rid of this? I can do that myself but if i need to get it balanced where would I go?

BALANCING? any local bike shop can balance a tire.

AS FOR TRUING. Are you talking about aligning the rear wheel with front or actually trueing one of the wheels so it's straight.

Because, if the rear wheel isn't aligned it'll make the bike pull but, a bent wheel (untrue wheel) usaully doesn't make it pull. You usually get a wheel viabration simiar to that of an unbalanced wheel.

I would definitely check the alignment.

Yea, I agree. I have seen people allign the rear wheel within mm's and as soon as it is torqued down, it becomes out of alignment. Measure the distance from the swing arm pivot to the rear axle on both sides......
