Heated grips...?

I found these heated grips on this site for $26
http://www.casporttouring.com/store/...de=dual_star_e

That looks extemly cheap, and would be an awsome addition to my fzr as I plan on riding all winter..

Anyone know how hard these things are to install? I'v never actually put grips onto a motorcycle.. But I know on a bicycle on ATV's its VERY hard to get them on the bar alone, not to mention sliding OVER a heater..

Anyone used anything like this? No one really knows how hard they would be to install on the FZR archives so I came here..

I know there are wrap around ones that go on the outside of your grip, but i'd rather have a under grip set so its a permanent thing, not some fugly wrap around..

Edit: it would help if I gave a working link I guess

Re: Heated grips...?

the heater part is a thin strip if plastic with thin pieces of foil in it so it is easy to put on and just wire it to 12v and ground it and it will work

sweet

I just didn;t know how hard it would be install, but it don't sound to bad

I plan on either putting a big LED in sight so I can tell there on, or buying a relay and wireing it with the ignition.. I know for a fact i'd end up draining my battery almost daily haha

Re: Heated grips...?

I have those same ones wired up on my bike and they get very hot. Well worth the 26 bucks. I have mine wired into the power for the gauges on a gsxr with no problems. They are a very easy install too.
